RELEASED ON BOND WINCHESTER, Ind.. Feb. 13. (UP) Mrs. Maggie Deeds, 75, farmw fe, was free on S10.000 bond today after authorities accused her of beating fatally her mate of nearly half a centuiy. Her 8o-year-cld husband, Millaid Deeds, a cripple, died of injuries yesterday. Officials said the wounds were inflicted with a club wielded by Mrs. Deeds as an outgrowth of a violent argument the night before. She was charged with assault and battery with intent to commit a felony. The Deeds, wealthy owners of farm land in Randolph county, v/ould have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary next month. James Storey, a neighbor, told police be found the farmer unconscious on the floor of his home after being summoned by .Mrs. Deeds.
