"School bus drivers, more than anyone else, will have to give their tires careful attention," local tire rationing men stated today. "They have no priority in the present truck tire crisis and stand in danger of being grounded. Even shoud the regulation be changed, it still would not, help them much, because numerous trucks engaged in essential hauling are being forced out of operation. It, therefore, behooves school bus drivers to have their tires recapped and to give them all other types c careful attention."

The New Maysville Community Club observed Past Presidents day Fiiday August 4th at the home of Mrs. Ervin Young near coatesville. The meeting was opened with songs the new song books recently purchased by the club. Mrs. Mary

Sanders read the collect.

Eleven of the past presidents responded to roll call with a short talk on events that happened during their time of service and since this club has been carrying on for twenty-two years it was quite interesting. After the business was attended to the club enjoyed two songs "The Sunny side of the Street" and "Something to Remortiber You By" sang by Miss Lucille Lovett in her

very lovely manner.

Mrs. Herschel Cline of Coatesville

gave a delightful and entertaining talk on "Friendship" which contained some very fine poems. The pro-

gram closed with a talk on "Kind

ness" by Mrs. Edgar Duckworth of

Roachdale, which was most delight-

ful, being given in her usual pleasant manner. It seemed the theme of the meeting was kindness and friendship ! which was very fitting as old and new members mingled and enjoyed; one of the most pleasant days the

club has had for some time. The hostess served lovely refresh-

ments to fifteen, niembers and the following guests, Mrs. Duckworth, Mrs. Cline, Miss Lovett, Mrs. Baxter, Mrs. Leonard Chatham, Mrs. J. B. Hooker, Mrs. Ralph Lovett, Mrs. Harold Miller and son, Mrs. Elza Tate and son, Mrs. Harold Sutherlin, Wilma Malayer, Marjorie
