Entertain In Honor Of Miss Belly Yuneker Mrs. Otis Browning and Miss Grace Browning entertained at their home Wednesday evening in honor of Miss Betty Yuneker, who is to be married to Robert J. Lee of Lansing, Mich. Flowers and candles were used as decorations in the dining room and flowers throughout the house made a charming atmosphere. Mis. Barney McClure, Miss Barbara Yuneker and Miss Betty Greenleaf assisted in the dining room. Miss Winona Welch and Miss Margot Andrade served at the table. Miss Yuneker will be married on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock in Gobin Memorial church.

During the business session, the subscription to “The National News” was renewed for the Putnam County hospital, the city Library, Greencastle, Fillmore, Balnbridge, *■ a:?d Roachdale high schools. Alta Newgenl, consutution and bylaws chairman., read the proposed I changes under consideration. The following officers were elected for 1944 and 1945; President, Mrs. Mabel Vehnillion; vice president, Mrs. Pheobe Brown; secretary, Mrs. Sara Pease; treasurer, Mrs. Jane Pierce; chaplin, Mrs. Clara Hubbaru; historian, Mrs. Julia Ernberg; and i Sergeant of Arms. Mrs. Vera Bray, j Members elected for executive committee are: Mrs. Joninie Thomas, j Mrs. Lois Conrad, and Mrs. Florence Boatwright. Mrs. Vera Bray, national defen,-e chairman, read a letter from the de- \ partment national defense chairman, Mrs. Brown, which stated that the local unit won first place in group II in the window display contest. Mrs. Bray presented the award of five dollars in, defense stamps to the unit. The unit voted to purchase another $100 war bond during the 5th
