Society Keystone Bible Class .Met Thursday Evening The Keystone Bible Class of the Gobin Memorial church met Thursday evening at 7:30 with Mrs. Oscar Obenchain. After friendly greetings of tne members the meeting was opened by the president. Mrs. Sarah Wright gave the devotions. Her subject and scripture reading was in keeping with the approaching Easter season. During the business meeting, the officers were elected for the coming year as follows: Mrs. Clyde Williams, president; Mrs. Sarah Wright, vice president; Mrs. J. E. Courtney, recording secretary; Miss Hattie Connelly corresponding secretary, and treasurei Mis. Blanche Monnett. Mrs. K. E. Richards had charge of the program. She gave an interesting discussion on gardening, and with it she gave some lovely poems by famous authors. As a second part she gave a paper written on mass education in China. Mrs. Clyde Hutcheson gave a talk j about her trip to California, where j she and her husband spent the wint-1 er. She made her talk more interesting by displaying pictures cf scenery they had seen while going to different places. The hostess, assisted by Miss Geola Moore and Mrs. Charles Hutcheson, served lovely refreshments and a | pleasant social hour closed the meet- | ing. [

Lanley has gone to St. Charles, La., to be with her husband, who is stationed in the military service there. Mrs. Linley was formerly employed at the Greencastle Production Credit Corporation. Word has been received here that Cpl. Cecil H. Robertson, son of Mrs. Everett O’Hair of Greencastle, submitted to an emergency appendectomy, March 28. Cpl. Robertson is Rationed at Camp Clairborne. La. Morton Chapter and Groveland Chapter will have a joint meeting with Bainbridge Chapter O. E. S. or Saturday night with the Baintoridgr Chapter for inspection by the Worthi Grand Matron, Mrs. Bliss FY>x. A good attendance is desired and visitors are very welcome. The Citizen’s Committee which was named to create interest in replacing the many beautiful trees of our city has been very well pleased with the response of the citizens of our community: Many orders have been placed for trees which will be planted the last week of March weather permitting.
