TIN RECOVERED NEW YORK, N. Y., March 4.— Termination March 1st of the order requiring the purchaser of tooth paste or shaving cream to turn in an empty tube at time of purchase brought an announcement from E. Vogelsang, chief of the WPB tin and lead branch that more than 1,000.000 pounds of vital tin has been recovered during the past 23 months for war use through reclamation of used tooth paste and shaving cream tubes. He urged the public, however, to clear out any such tubes still left on bath cabinet shelves and to return these tubes immediately to retailers who handle tooth paste and shaving cream. He believes that this final cooperation by the public will yield another 1,000,000 pounds of the metal.

THE SKEPTICS SAWMILL De we brgin to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others epistles of commendation from you? or letters of commendation from y ou. Ye are our epistles written on out hearts, known and read of all men. —i 11 Cor. 3-2. In one of the New England states once resided an infidel, the owner of a saw mill. This infidel was busy and his mill was as noisy on that holy day us on any other. It was noticed, however, that at a certain time before service the mill would stop, then its noise and clatter would again begin. It was soon noticed that one of the deacons of the church passed the mill to the place of worship during the silent interval. Although he paid no attention to the passing of others ®n being asked why he paid thus mark of respect to the beacon he replied. "The deacon professes just what the rest of you do, but he also lives such a life that it makes me feel bad here (pointing to his heart) to run my mill while he is passing.

The minister will be back Sunday morning for Sunday school and would certainly feel good if everyone cooperated to make possible a good attendance. It seems that some of our Sunday School scholars have been playing hookey lately. You know who you are, and all I am going tr say is that you will be forgiven if you can come every Sunday from
now till Easter.
W’e will have preaching again Sunday night. The attendance ha.i been pretty good but if even on* oi you stay home when ycu could bi at church it will hurt the atendance a lot. Remember what Dr McClurr said about supporting the church by our attendance, gifts, prayers
service.
