She’s as Lively as a Youngster-

Now her Backache is better

Many sufferers relieve nnscinjr backache quickly, once they discover that the real cause of their trounlo may be tired kidneys. The kidneys are Nature’s chief way oi tak* inp the excess acids and waste out of the blood. They help most people pass about

inp th< blood,

pints n da;

nts a day.

When disordei «>t kidney function permits tisonous matter to remain in your blood, it

poisonous matter to remain in your wiuuu, i«. may cause nagpinp backache, rheumatic pains, leg pains, loss of p< p nnd cnerpy, getting up nights, swelling, puffiness under the eyes, headaches and disEiness. Frequent or scanty passages with smarting and burning some* times shows there is somethin'* wrong with

your kidneys or bladder*

Don't wait! Ask >our druggist for Doan’s Tills, used successfully by millions for over 40 years. They give happv relief and will help the 15 miles of kidney tubes flush out poisonous waste from your blood. Get Duuu s Fills.

,4 From where I sit...

/y Joe Marsh

Lem Martin’s dog went on a rampage last week...killed four of Ed Carey’s best hens. Naturally, Ed was pretty mad. Went around vowing he was going to get his shotgun and blow the blazes out of Lem’s dog when he saw him. And Lem says, "Let him try it and I’ll blow the blazes out of hitn. Ought to keep his chickens locked up, anyhow." But Ed and Lem are really mighty sensible fellows. And the whole thing was settled when Lem invited Ed over for a glass of beer, and they sat around

chaiting over the quarrel as if it were a kind of joke, “Shucks,” says Ed, “them hens didn’t amount to much nohow.” And Lem says: “Just the same I’m bringin’ you a barrel o’ apples to pay for 'em.” From where I sit, it would be a lot better for the world if folks would settle their arguments peacetul-like—sitting around over a friendly glass of beer— instead of going off half-cocked, and making mountains out of molehills.
