GERMANY RAIDED (< on rillin'<! from Pukp On«»> ers” dropped bombs at random on southwest Germany through a blankef of clouds. Gei man bombers raided England for the second consecutive night, but lost at least five planes in the effort. A few raiders reached London and dropped explosives ip one London ^rea. Anti-aircraft batteries put up a heavy barrage, pin-pricking the sky with shellbursts. The night activity followed two attacks by coastal command Beaufighters on enemy shipping off the Dutch coast yesterday. A merchant vessel was wrecked with bombs, cannon fire and torpedoes and four escort ships were damaged. All planes i returned safely.

The War Production Training office of Indianapolis is urging that another training class be opened here.
