Mrs. William H. Pouch, President General of the National Society. Daughters of the American Revolution, will be the guest of honor of the Indiana Daughters. This promises to be a most interesting meeting and it is hoped that Washburn Chapter may be well represented.

Aviatlan Cadet Alvan V. Ellis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jessie L. Ellis of Greencastle, Indiana, is a member of a class of Student Officers and Aviation Cadets to be graduated soon from the Army Air Forces Pilot School (Advanced Two Engine) at Stockton Field, California. He will be made a full-fledged pilot and will be given the coveted silver wings. He will be placed on active duty in his rank with the Army Air Forces. Before entering the final and advanced course at Stockton Field, Cadet Ellis completed 18 weeks of pirmary and basic training at King City and Chico, California. Stockton Field Is the oldest advanced pilot school in the Western Flying Training Command. Many of its graduates have been cited foheroism in the sky battles over Europe, Africa. A large number of people have teen in attendance each night. Frllay is “Family Night.” and Saturday is “Service Men’s Night.” There will be both morning and evening services Sunday.
