To Voters of Putnam County I have always promoted legislation for the best interest of I he majority of the people, regardless of |w>litics, or pressure groups. As a result of my efforts at the lost session of the legislature, the State Board of Education was revamped and removed from |M>lities, thus resulting in fewer school books being: changed this year, and which will prevent future promiscious changes annually. These tewer changes mean considerable savings to tbe parents of Putnam C ounty school children. ' 1 have always taken an active part in legislation which had its purpose to hold down taxes, but not interfere with consistent good government. In the coming session of the legislature, we must hold down the state and local taxes as far as is consistent that we may carry the increased burden of Federal taxes in order to bring the war to a speedy close. I know the farmers problem, having been one all my life, and a member of the Putnam County Farm Bureau. I have always been interested in civic and church affairs. I have been principal of the Bainhridge high schools, and have taken a deep interest in young people and their problems as well as the problems of our public schools. Am aftili'dted.with the Christian church, the Misonic lodge, the Eastern Star, Director of the Putnam ( ounty Saddle club, secretary of the County Draft Horse Association and interested in everything that pertains to the betterment of agriculture as well as the problems ot business and the citizens of the county. O. BRUCE LANE Republican ( andidate for Joint Senator from Montgomery and Putnam Counties. Yont Vote will be Appreciated.
