DEPAUW COMMENCE MINT (ConllniK-tl from Cana One) Trammel, president of NBC might be ruined, as well as the gastric wellbeing of some 300 graduating seniors who will rush from commencement rehearsal at 5:00, gulp a fairsized Sunday supper and gallop over to East College in full] regalia by 3:30 ready for the procession from the ancient campus landmark to Blackstock stadium. What a catastrophe if those poor unfortunates would be forced to sit in the blazing May sun on a full stomach! Of course, there may not be any sun, and then all these plans wiil have been futile, and many who had planned to attend the exercises at the stadium (where no ticket of admission will be needed! will stand frustrated before Bowman Gym (where only those with tickets will be admitted). The whole thing is being planned out carefully, but don't be surprised if some senior forgets his cap and gown and the whole ceremony takes place under flood-lights two hour* late.

Flem Dud Templeman, son of George and Mary Katheryn Tempieman was born near Owingville, Kentucky. January 30, 1898. His early childhood days were spent in and around his birthplacj At the age of ten, his family moved to the state of Indiana in which state he continued to reside until his death. In 1909 he identified himself with the Manhattan Christian Church but in later years moved his membership to the New Maysville Baptist Church where he was still affiliated at the time of his death, April 30, 1942. In Feb. of 1923, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Lee Payne, of Stepstone. Ky. To bless this union were born two children George Leroy and Isabelle Lorene. Flem, as he was known, had resided in this community for a number of years as a farmer and was known by many. His special thought and devotion was for his ever faith-1 ful wife and children. His rule was the Golden Rule— "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." He leaves to mourn their loss his faithful wife, a son, George Leroy and a daughter Isabelle Lorene, an aged mother, three brothers, Arull of Carmel, Ind., Arlie of Chicago, HI., Ernest of Aroma Park, 111., and one foster brother, Robert Orr of Greencastle, besides nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. One younger brother Albert preceded him to the Great Beyond, Nov. 26th, 1935 and also his father on July 23, 1933, passed on to that beautiful home to which they are beckoning us come, whose hearts with grief are torn. Death, came, the soul has vanished but these loved ones are not dead. They have simply left us to go to God. God hath not promised Skies always Mue, Flower strewn pathways All our lives through: Jod hath not promised Sun without rain Joy without sorrow, Peace without pain. But God hath promised Strength for the day, Rest for th# labor, Light for the way, Grace for the trials, Help from above. Unfailing sympathy Undying love. CAJBD OF THANKS We wish to express our oppreciation and thanks to all those who assisted us during the death of our beloved husband, daddy, son and brother, Flem Templeman. Our appreciation is given to those who extended their sympathy and beautiful floral offerings. We especially thank the singers, flower bearers, pail bearers, Rev.Guy Helms, Rev. Joh.i McCain mack and Mr McCurry. Mrs. Flem Templeman and children, Mrs. Mary C. Templeman and sons.
