Kl It A I. YOITH MEETING The Rural Youth Club of Put.nam dounty met Friday in the old gymnasium of the Greencastle High School. The club members were reninded of the district meeting which will be held April 15 at Lebanon and 20 members snid they are planning to attend the meeting and bring back the cowbell for another three months. The remainder of the meeting was ovoted to recreation led by Herbert McReynolds of Purdue University Mr McReynolds led the group of 10 in folk games which were enjoyed by all. The next meeting will be held when the club goes to Lebanon in a
bus.

It was said that when the engine passed a piece of metal •truck him in the leg. He was admitted to the Putnam county hospital for medical treatment.

Jones, wno hears from many of the Putnam county soldiers in camp, recently received a letter from Naval Air Cadet Lee Hochstedler, who was formerly employed at the Shannon Funeral Home and the Lincoln Restaurant. Cadet Hochstedler. a graduate of DePauw University. is now taking his ground and flying course at the Naval Air Station at Corpus Christi, Texas. Mr. Jones also received word from Cadet Robert Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Allen of Allendale. Cadet Alle.n is continuing his course at the Army Air Corps at Tucson. Ariz. William (Billy) Hurst, son cf Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hurst of near Mt. Meridian was recently transferred from an army camp in Washington State to a camp in Alaska, according to word received by ils relatives. Corporal Joseph J Pickett.
