Glen Phillips, living on east Washigton street was arrested Sunday noming by City Policeman Charles 1 icrgen on a charge of intoxication, on Washington street, down town, lifter the officer had sent Phillips home earlier in the night. Phillips is said by police to have returned own town in the same taxi in which he was sent h me. He was fined one dollar and costs, totaling six dollars. Morrison, clerk of the Putnam Circuit Court, has received a call from Clarence Jackson, chairman of the State Defense Commission, for a conference between the commission and all county clerks of the state, Wednesday, relative to the rationing of sugar. Dr. Frank Frazier Hutchins, of Indianapolis, whose wife was the former Luella S. McWhirter died Sunday night in the Methodist hospital in Indianapolis, at the age of 72 years. He had been a patient in the hospital since March, 1941. Dr. Hutchins was a former member oi the faculty at Butler University, tne Indiana Medical College ami the State College of Physicians and Surgeons. Mrs. Hutchins formerly resided in Greencastle and is a graduate of DePauw University.

In an impressive candlelight ceremony solemnized Saturday evening at 8 o’clock in the Wall Street Methodist Church at Jeffersonville, Miss Louise M. Hendrieh, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hendrieh, of ne^r Greencastle, became the bride of ’Private Warren T. Knauer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Knauer, also of near Greencastle. The altar was beautifully decorated with white candles and white flowers. Preceding and during th» ceremony, the church organist, played a medley of bridal airs. The single ring service was read by the Rev. F. P. Bedwell, in the presence of Mrs. Hendrieh and Mrs.
