FIVE PUTNAM SOLDIERS RETURN TO CAMP SHELBY A Robert Stoner taxicab took flvo Putnam county young men back to Camp Shelby, in Mississippi, then leave of absence from camp ending at midnight, tonight. They were Jack Shuey, Glenn Crawley, Duwayne Fuller, D. Worrell, and John Fisher, They had been at home on furlough. Mr. Stoner arrived in Greencastle from a trip to the same camp Sunday morning, bringing twelve men from the camp, but they were residents of counties near Putnam. Tuesday morning, he will taho another party of Putnam men to camp. It is a trip of 700 miles from Greencastle to Camp Shelby, requiring 20 hours for the trip one way. Usually ,the drivers who take the men, or bring them home, turn around at camp and start bath without any delay at all for rest. This is particularly true when the cars go for a squad to bring them to Greencastle. In a recent article concerning tn new position of Miss Genevieve O'Hair, former librarian of the Greencastle Public Library, the title of Miss O'Hair's position was incorrectly stated. Miss O'Hair is Assistant State Supervisor of the Library Service Projects which is a branch of the Federal Works Agency. Eddie Welch Of Louisville. Ky„ was advanced to corporal recently, In the Kentucky Active Militia. He is also a member of the U. S. Reserve Officer Training Corps, and plays bass with the bands of both organizations. Eddie played here with the high school ami city bands four years and the DePauw University Band two years. He is a junior at Louisville Male High School this year. at three o'clock in the Gobin Memorial Methodist church. Miss Marion Langsdale Hearst, daughter of Mrs. Jennie Cuitis Hearst, of Greencastle, became the bride of Jesse Whitney O’Hair, of Chicago, son of Mr. and Mrs. Orah M. O’Hair, of Greencastle.

Dr. J. E. Porter, officiated.

Candles decorated the church for the ceremony and palms, ferns, huckleberry and Easter lilies were arranged at the altar and council table. Lighted candles also decorated the white ribbon-

ed aisles.

Dr. Van Denman Thompson, organist, and dean of the DePauw School r f Music, played the wedding concert. The selections were “O Thou Sublime Sweet Evening Star,” by Wagner; “Love Song From Lohengrin," by Wagner; “Le Cygne,” by Saint Seans; “Andante Cantabile,” by Wider; and “My Heart Is Ever

The bride, given in marriage by her brother, William Curtis Hearst of Whitewater, Wis., wore a gown of white slipper satin, with a long train, long pointed sleeves and sweetheart neckline. Her three tiered veil of net was caught to a cap of orange blossoms. An orchid covered her white praver book which was tied with streamers of white satin ribbon and knotted with lilies of the valley. The bride also carried an exquisite handmade white lace handkerchief, the gift of Mrs. Jessie Burley Dish-

ington of LaPorte.

Miss Joanna Kennington of Cincinnati, maid of honor, wore a floor length gown of chartreuse banded in dark green velvet. She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow Gloria roses. Low yellow pom pom chrysanthemums decorated the Juliet cap. Little Marna Coleman Hearst of Whitewater, Wis., niece of the bride, was flower girl.
