Plans lowing
County 1 night, to form leagues and start the softball to rolling once again on the
Robe-Ann park diamond.
According to Carl Myers, member | of the newly formed softball association committee, approximately twelve teams have already joined the association and are set to begin play immediately. However, another meeting of the group has been scheduled ;or Monday night. June 2.'1. at the Greencastle city hall, at which time it is hoped that a few more teams will signify intentions to join the
ounty softball group.
Among those teams that are set for ball play are Putnamville, Cloverdale, Fillmore. Moose Lodge, Loi.e Star, Coca-Cola, Zinc Mill, Northern 'ndiana Power, Madison Township. A strong possibility, it was said, (s the Handy’s Cub outfit, one of the ] strongest and most popular tens la-st summer. Hope was expressed that Roachdale. Bainbridge and Russellville would send representatives to the association in> ( ting next Monday
light.
Euthusiasm toward the formation | of leagues this year is believed rising and games should be started if plans can be completed, before much more
time has elapsed.
