Napoleon as you will rethember set out to reconstruct the world, met his Waterloo and died an exile on St. Helena, Caesar enslaved his country j ml waded to dominion through rlv- | •rs of Mood to be stabbed to his ; 'eath in a Roman senate. Alexander , he Great conquered the world and -lied in delerium tremoils. Hannibal whom we are told at the age of nine years swore eternal hatred toward ne Romans, got In a tight place and emmitted suicide by taking poison 1 which he carried always for that pur- , -so and for the emergencies 1 Aompey was stabbed in the back Umar was assassinated. Xerxes met 1 similar fate. Cato became disgust- ! 1 over Ms useless slaughter of men - 1 ,nd he ripped himself open, tore out) | his bowels and gave up the ghost. : Bismark said if you want to win j wars leave nothing but the eyes to 1
weep.
From the centuries of history we have learned that all these great warriors are very much like earth- 1
bridge i quakes are principally remembered
or the devilment that they have done. I think that the Great Muchinvelli was ever lasting right when he said. “He who makes wars his prolession cannot be otherwise than vicious anti cruel. War makes thieves and peace brings them to the gal- 1
ws.” Well said I think.
Why don’t we all start now and tr :vh patriotism and production incad of favoritism and destruction, 1 : incerely urge hope instead of hysteria suggest calmness Instead of confusicn. With the good old common sent’? commanding our vast resources we can build our country Into such an impregnable fortress of progress and prosperity that all the Instrumentalities of the Hitler-Stalln-Mus-snlini and hell could not shake from
ta foundation.
