Mr. and Mrs. James Tobin, Indianapolis, are the parents of a daughter born April 3 at St. Vincent's hospital. Mrs. Tobin was formerly Mis« Ruby Tate. Mrs. Cora Butler of Plattsburg, N. Y., who is visiting in the home of her daughter. Mrs. W. E. Martin. Bloomington street, was admitted to the Putnam county hospital Saturday night for treatment for a fractured arm. Mrs. Butler suffered the fracture when she fell on the sidewalk. ' April 14, at 1:30 In the afternoon, at Gi'eencastle, Is the date and place for the Putnam county conference on apiary management, to be held under the direction of James E. Starkey, chief apiary inspector for the conservation department. The meeting for the men here is one of a series to be held this month in 14 Indiana counties. Mrs. James J. Kelker, accompanied by her son, Francis, of Shreveport, La., are visiting with Mrs. Kelker’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lafe McGaughey during the month of April. Capt. Kelker is at present on duty with the 97th Field Artillery Battalion at Fort Bragg. North Carolina. At the end of the month Mrs. Kelk»r and son will return to their home in Shreveport. A change in the date of the initiation of the class of Moose candidates has been made, from next Sunday aftemcon to Thursday evening of this week. This change is necessai-y because the degree team from the Terre Haute order of Moose cannot be here Sunday, their Easter day program interfering. There will be a class of 25 or more initiated here. It will be in honor of Russet! Shannon. By that arrangement, Ml Shannon will take the actual initiatory work and will be proxy for the others of the class.

SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA TO GIVE CONCERT WEDNESDAY
The DePauw Symphony Orchestra conducted by Prof. Herman Berg will present a concert Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock in Meharry Hall. Howard Walts, an instructor in piano in the DePauw Music School and a graduate of DePauw Univeraity will be featured as soloist. Dean Dirks addressed the parents and teachers of Miller's School Friday afternoon on “Understanding the child. Especially the Boy.” The association is grateful for the opportunity of hearing from one whose experience has equipped him to speak so wisely on the subject. The First and Second grades entertained with dramatizations in keeping with their regular work. Bobby Thompson was introduced as winner of the Safety Award which is to remain in Miller School as long as their safety record is free from any accidents.. The young couple will make their home in Lebanon, where Mr. Chrisenbury is employed.
