Berk-Thompson .Marriage Announeed Mr. and Mrs. Earnest Thompson announce the marriage of their daughter Adarene to Rexford Beck, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Beck of
Bainbridge.
The wedding took place Thursday evening. March 27, at 6 o'clock at the First Christian church parsonage in Greeneastle with the Rev. H. C. Fellers officiating. The single ring ceremony was read in the presence of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Williams. The bride graduated from the Roachdaie high school in 1933 and has for the past seven years been employed at The Times-News office in Roachdaie. Mr. Beck graduated from the Bainbridge high school with the class of 1933. Mr. and Mrs. Beck will make their home in Louisville. Ky., where Mr Beok is employed at Ft. Knox. Ky. The couple was married on the ;!7th wedding anniversary of the bride's parents.

Richard Whelan will be in charge of the Bible study. A letter received by Mr. and Mrs. frank A. Ashworth from Mr. and Mrs. John Gray, residing at Orlando. 1 Fla., gives the information that on March 21 Mr. Gray became 80 years aid. He will be remembered here as a former rural route mail carrier out of Greeneastle. They removed to Florida in 1932.

Mrs. Tom Flint, north Jackson ■ Ircet. has been called to Salt Lake City, Utah, by the illness of her brother, Fred Heck. Latest reports however say that Mr. Heck is improving. Lloyd Messersmith, assistant professor of Physical Education for Men at DePauw, Is attending the annual meetings of the Midwest Physical Education Association beln^ held at Charleston, West Virginia, April 2 to 5th. Mr. Messersmitn serves on the Constitution Committee of the Association. At a district meeting of the Eastern Sta • chapters of Parke, Montgomery, and Putnam counties, held at Rockville Tuesday evening, Mrs. W. J. Woling of Greeneastle was re-elected second vice president of the distiict organization. Mrs. Ruby Henley, of Wingate, Grand Electa of the order, was a guest of honor at the meeting Dr. E R. Bartlett, head of the DePauw Religious Education department. was in New York, March 2729. presiding over the meetings of the International Council of Religious Education Committee on Graded Lessons of which he is chairman. The committee, representing twenty church denominations, is at work on a program of curriculum revision of church school lessons.

Schott, of Terre Haute, and sister of Miss Mary Lou Schott of Greeneastle, will become the bride of John D. McMurray of Cumberland, Md., Easter Sunday. The prospective bride has visited here often with her sister and has met many Greeneastle residents. The wedding will take place at 3:30 o’clock in the afternoon in the Green Room of the Terre Haute House. The Rev. Russell L. Phillips of the Centenary Methodist church will officiate In the presence of relatives and friends. Miss Mary Lou Schott will attend her sister as maid of honor and Miss Winifred Aten will be bridesmaid. Jack Cully will be best man and William Krider of Bedford, Ind., will be groomsman. A program of bridal music will be played preceding the ceremony and the brid;8 colors of blush pink and poudre blue will he carried out in the decorations and gowns of the young women. Immediately following the ceremony a reception will be held In Parlors Al, 2 and 3 of the Terre Haute House and at 6 o’clock a dinner will be served in the Green Room for the immediate families, the bridal party and out of town guests. Mr. McMurray and his bride will leave that night for their wedding trip and will be at home after May 1 in Cumberland, Md. Miss Schott is an attractive and popular young woman. She is a graduate of Wiley High School an 1 attended Indiana State Teachers College where she was a member of the Gamma Gamma Sorority.
