On Friday, March 21 the Inter-lude pn ented a recording of Joe Miller, the winner of the Humorous Declar“ti'iii in the semi-finals of the National Forensic laiague.

The annual High School operetta will is* presented on April 18th in the High School auditorium. The title of the operetta is "Chonita”, Gypsy romance, by Franz Liszt. The selection of tin* cast finds Marcia Hamilton and Elbert Jones in the leading roles ably assisted by Barbaia Wright, Jack Rinser, Paul Climes Feni Alexander, Eddie Welch and Ralph Mars.
The first grade pupils of Jones School are making a toy farm In connection with their social science and leading work
The second grade of Miller Sclio* will this week end their unit on •‘Cotton” which they have given rather intensive study.
Th winners of the Senior Play I "'"ter contest were announced Friday afternoon. Out of a field of 10 entrants Diule Ellis won. He will " ceive 3 tickets to the Senior Play— Spring Tide. Kathryn Brattain and Frank Sims tied for second and will receive 2 tickets each.
Through the generosity of the Parent Teachers Organizations of Miller School, a very attractive miniature library has been started in the building. We have a nucleus of twenty recent children s books, which will be added to as money is available. The library will be used principally as a reward for extra effort and results, the pupils being given the opportunity to use saves on propqualifications.
