Du ing the spring most house-
wives are thinking of fixing over something and Montgcmery-Ward’s have all kinds of helpful suggestions. In the basement we saw one days units that can be put into your kitchen to make it modern and to help you enjoy the work. One is an entire unit, cabinets for everything, double sink, and on the top cabinets at the edges and above the sink ar e little shelves on which to put pretty plants or colortul gadgets Any women would love to have ai. these new gleamy white in he kitchen. There are smaller ones too
if you have a small kitchen.
Everyone has been reading so much this spring about the new saddle tan shoes. There was almost a whole window full of them at the R and S one day. This odor is so wonderful because it can b e worn with any color costume and can be u icd for sports or dress. It is grand ill through the summer and just a lew pair of shoes brightens up the
lay for anyone.
As we all know in the spring a young man’s thoughts turn to lov - in this case the female sex in always ncluded in these thoughts. In order . >r the young miss to be appreciat'd and be sought after she must noi have only personality but she must be d essed for the occasion. Now-a-days the sport apparel seems to be n the limelight. One wearing sport clothes is always accepted at any place at any time. The so-called suit, whether It is Just a jacket and skirt or whether ■t is the suit with a matching top coat is an ideal outfit. The other day I was in Prevo’n looking around and what p,ults I saw. I couldn’t make up my mind uk to which one I wanted. A practical suit would he a plaid of pastel shades, the jacket being • three button one, with a collar cut like your own open thioat shirt. The skirt could either be a circular one with a pleat in front or back, It could be gored, or It could have box pleats The top coat would be of the matching material with the lining in a different color, a color that would bring out the colors In your
suit.
Another smart outfit would be the suit and a lovely camel hair coat or a coat of covert material. The covert material is somewhat newer tha u camel hair and it also sheds wate Tweed always has that smart effect
for the town and country.
As to colors this year, beige seems to be rated very highly, green Is very smart and of course, navy Is still
good.
Your suit will change character with your blouses. While looking
