the fourth
straight year, Studebaker
has made gas economy history in
the famous Gilmore Run. The Studebaker Champion,
which won a first last year, made the remarkable average of 24.61 miles per gallon for the top mileage of Studebaker’s sensational trio of cars—all three traveling 599.3 gruelling miles at an average speed of better than 42 miles per hour. The Studebaker President and Commander scored firsts in gas economy over all cars in their divisions—upholding Studehakcr's decisive dom-
inance in gas economy in those price fields. See and drive a Studebaker before you decide on any 1941 car. The big, roomy, beautiful Studebaker Champion is the low-est-priced 6-cylinder sedan in America. Easy C.I.T. terms.

However, smallpox is still with usand is unexpectedly bobbing up from time to time. Wide travel and crow ds that bring people into such close contact, make it necessary to be protected.
Today vaccination is simple, practically painless, and ill-effects are extremely rare. The vaccination should be done by a reputable physician and the same care exercised against infection as w ith any other skin abrasion.

Voncastle "The Quarterback," which opens! Wednesday and Thursday at the Von-! castle Theatre, pucks the wallop of a ! real game. It will be enthusiastically | received by the audience. Different in theme from the usual football pic-! tines, it has Wayne Morris in a dual j icle, a twin brother, ami the two Wayne Morrises have everyone on the edge of their seats most of the time. In this dual role th P blonde and blue eyed Wayne looked every inch the football player. As a Phi Beta Kappa, his other self, he has a rorance with the blonde ami beautiful Virginia Dale. As th e football star he also romances with Virginia and auburn Lillian Cornell, who also sang some songs well. Romance and football was the theme, with plenty of comedy and suspense.
the exciting, absorbing details of designing ami pre-testing new aircraft. "Men Against the Sky" presents Richard Dix, Kent Taylor, Edmund Lowe and Wendy Barrie as the four human factors whose problems provide romance, suspens,. and action at the Chateau, Wednesday and Thursday. After frantically striving to promote finances, Lowe, an airplane manufacturer, finds that Taylor, his chief engineer, is having design trouble with their high speed pursuit ship which is being rushed to beat competition. The problem is solved when Miss Barrie, a draftsman, submits an unique idea. The real creator of the idea, however. is Dix, a discredited, unemployed pilot and brother of the girl, whom he knows is secretly in love with th: chief engineer But when Dix accidentally ruins matters by cracking up the finished model in a test flight h precipitates a series of dramatic as well as romantic complications which mount to a swift-paced climax

speech and freedom of assembly are the four cornerstones upon which liberty rests. We must make it plain that if one of these cornerstones is demolished, the others will crumble. Freedom of the press cannot bo destroyed if we want the other freedoms to exist. The same is true with the other freedoms each depends upon the other. Liberty in the United States cun only stand on solid pillars.— New York Times.
