table project, stor-

.es and studying the changes in clothings, homes and habits of Eskimoes through the generations. For the sand table the children brought halves of grapefruit, which were covered with cotton and articial snow. The children made stand-up figures of animals, including small seals, polar bears, penguins, dogs, walrus and whale. Donald Biann's father made an Eskimo man, sled, and a team of dogs which help to demonstrate the ideas. To represent ice, silvered paper was used with blue green paper where the Ice was broken or an Eskimo was spearing

fish.

To improve and safeguard the health of our children, we have morning inspection, daily. If a child is found to have fever, probably a communicable disease we exclude him from the school. It is our greatest desire to improve the appearance or our children. Cleanliness, neatness and general health are our main factors. Each morning the child's hair, scalp, teeth, skin and throat arc inspected. Teeth are an important factor to healthful living-good habits grow to be priceless ones’ as the years go by. Learning the proper way to

brush every tooth on all sides usually takes about three minutes and is a very good habit. The children j studied the structure of the tooth and its parts. To correlate with art we drew a healthy tooth and a decayed one, showing a large cavity. Each temporary tooth plays "follow the leader’’ with a permanent tooth so let us care for all our teeth.

Safety has its place in this grad.' as well as in high schools. Each child is taught to conduct himselt properly as well as safelv To help the teacheis to attain this point, the school purchased a set of books on safety entitled "In Town and Country’’ published by the American Book Co. Thsi book deals with each phase of danger and is written on the level with the child’s vocabulary. This book lists many safety habits and attitudes and has many colorful pictures. These books are used as supplementary reading material ami a special period is used for

discussion of safety.

F.llmoro’a Cardinals put up a game fight against the Mooresville ?ionee.s Saturday night in the local high school gym but the boys from Morgan county won the final game of the Wabash Valley preliminary tourney, 27 to 21. Reelsville, undefeated this season until they humped into Belle Union Thursday night, was the only “gymless" team in the tournament. Glendon Rightsell told us the Reelsville boys have to practice at various towns in that locality and seldom do the players gel home and in bed before 10 o’clock at night. With tin prospects on hands, it is certainly top bad that the Reelsville netters do not have their own hardwood court.
