CIRCl’IT C OI RT NOTES In the Dorsett ditch matter, Wil- J bur S. Dormer, Putnam county at-' torney, yesterday afternoon filed oh- { jections of the county to the proposed [ construction of the ditch. Seven I county highways cross the line of the | ditch and the county commissioners j claim it will not be possible to carry’ the ditch excavation under the bridges now there, without causing damage to the structures. In the damage suit of Ora F. Proffitt vs. Orrin L. Hartle, before special Judge Howard L. Hancock of Parke county, in which case $500 damages was recently allowed the plaintiff in the Putnam court, the court yesterday heard arguments for a new trial and took the matter under advisement.

"Hersh” Knetzer, who plays center, for Fillmore high school, is set- ■ ing some kind of a basketball recard this season. From what we hear, young Knetzer has played in five james so far and has averaged 7 mints a tilt. PRESIDENT EXPECTED TO VETO WALTER-LOGAN BILL WASHINGTON, Dec. 3. (UP1Presidential veto of the Walter-Lo-gan bill generally was regarded today as likely to be announced from the White House next week. President Roosevelt could compose i veto message aboard tile cruiser Tuscaloosa on which he begins Caribbean cruise today. And if-he decides against the bill, which limits the authority of federal boards and agencies including several that are fundamental in the New Deal structure, that procedure probably will be followed. It is not likely that Congress could pass the bill over a veto. Congressional approval of the hill was another post-election rebuff to administration leaders. A similar Democratic-Republican coalition defeated Democratic leaders' attempt to adjourn lust month.
