Granada The 3,000 acre ranch of Hay Corrigan, the actor, was used as a location site for "The Fighting Renegade," produced by Sam Katzman, starring Tim McCoy, which comes on Friday and Saturday to the Granada Theatre. Reminiscent of the Old West the Corrigan ranch greets the eye with rolling hilts and broac prarie. Herds of cattle roam there, and cowboys watch constantly to protect them from the invasions of coyotes and bob cats, which prowl around the sage brush at night. Determined to break into the victory column at the expense of Shelbyville, the Greeneastle basketball squad went through its last drill yesterday in preparation for tonight's game at the high school gymnasium. This evening's encounter marks the third start of the season for the Tiger Cubs, who have gone down in defeat against Danville and Martinsville on successive weekends. Often overlooked as Wabash and DePauw meet in the usual heat of another chapter of the longest con'inuous football rivalry west of the Alleghenies are the facts that Raymond (Qaumy) Neal—chief boss of the Tiger gridders since 1930- is a nativi of Wingate, played football ruder Coach Pete Vaughn, later was ..amed on several All-Americas after bis appearance with Washington and Jefferson in the 1921 Rose Bowl game and returned to Wabash for his rst coaching experience. Neal, whose 1933 DePauw team ,vas the only eleven in the country r> finish the season undefeated, untied and unscored upon, went to DePauw from Wabash where he had been line coach and assistant to Coach Vaughan in 1929. After one year as assistant under W. L. Hughes he became head grid mentor, Hughes going to Columbia. He was an outstanding athlete at Wabash but transferred to Washingand Jefferson during that college's hey-dey and played tackle on .he 1921 outfit that played the University of Southern California to a scoreless tie in the Rose Bowl. His Tiger clubs won Indiana Collegiate conference titles in 1930, 1931 and 1933. But right now and Saturday, too, ‘ he mention of Wabash to him will be like showing the Scarlet banner to a bull.
