Mr. and Mrs. Albert Stevens of Terre Haute, Thelma Faugh of Oaktown and Roy and Tiny Stevens of Omaha, Neb. spent Saturday with Mr. and M s. Bert Leslie and family. The members of the High School League of Gobin Memorial Methodist church, will hold a "Kitchen Cabinet Meeting” this evening at 5:30 in Community Hall. Each leaguer is asked to bring covered dish, sandwiches or fruit. Forest Goodenough. a student in the DePauw Music School, will give the program. Virginia Williams will be in charge of the meeting.
LOCAL SCHOOLS WILL PRESENT "ON OUR WAY” The Greencastle public schools will present the interesting dramatization of "On Our Way” as part of the observance of American Education Week, in the high school auditorium at 8 o’clock, Wednesday evening, November 13. This is the most pretentious program which the local schools have ever attempted in connection with A. E. W. observance, according to Supt. Paul F. Boston, and will be complimentary to the public. The cast will be composed of students and teachers from both the elementary and high school departments. The production will represent a cooperative effort of the music, speech, art, physical education, and other departments. “On Our Way" was created under the auspices of the Educational Policies Commission and was first-.produced by the schools’hf Oakland/(?a!. The play was repeated for an audience of 7,000 enthusiastic spectators at St. I.miiis last Fobtjiary :n connection with the meeting of the National Department of Gchool Superintendents. The play itself rep!*esents message for the American people, the story of their own public schools, the most democratic institution of freedom-loving people.

Happin- Homos Study t’luh Held Halloween Party The Happier Homes Study Club held a masked Halloween party at the old high school gym October 28 There were 45 present. Prizes awarded to those masked are as follows: ugliest—Charles Hale: prettiest Mrs. Retha Pitts; best masked Billy Garrett. Several games and contests were given. Miss Dorothy Harris read the secretary’s report and Miss Elizabeth Daggy gave Ihe treasurers report. Mrs. John Boyd reported for the program committee and Miss Dado B. Shearer for the membership committee. Mrs. John Boyd summarized the business of the state meeting held recently at McCormick’s Creek S’ate Park. I' ollowlng the business session, Miss Shearer conducted a service in memory of Miss Lillian Southard, after which Miss Mildred Dimmlck talked to the group on current periodicals available for the woman who wishes to be well read. The meeting closed with a social hour.
