Mrs. Scobell, who was badly shaken up, was thought to have escaped ; injury. Mr. Stafford appeared to be rather dazed and seemed to have no recollection of how the accident occurred and it was thought he may have dozed at the wheel of his car. Both the Stafford and Scobell cars were badly wrecked. DIRECTOR APPOINTED INDIANAPOLIS. Ind., Oct. 8 (UP) Gov. M. Clifford Townsend late yesterday appointed Dr. J. W.
