auditorium. The meeting was opened promptly at 7.30 by Mrs. Evan Crawley. P.Vil Boston, ijperinte.ident of the Greencastle city schools, was the guest speaker of the evening. He gave an extremely interesting talk on ‘‘Education for Citizenship.” Mr. Boston said, "We are now witnessing a war between one way of life and another. We must educate ourselves and our children to thorougnly understand the social and industrial problems of our own nation, then compare them to the problems of the totalitarian states. To some degree, efficient results have been obtained by the totalitarian form of government, but how much more successfully these same results may be had through tapping both the physical and intellectual forms available to the democracy alone. However, democracy can not be a success until these two things are accomplished: indust ial efficiency and unemployment questions solved, said Mr. Boston. That same effort which has brought such brilliant success to our scientific field must be used in all its entirety to improve social conditions in our country.” Three important points which Mr Boston brought out in his speech were teaching the child motives instead of facts, teaching him social imagination and develop a proper balance between the educational and the emotional. In closing, Mr. Boston said that “Education for Citizenship,” is carried on in the home, the community and the church. Following Mr. Boston’s speech a discussion was held and participated in by all those present. + + * + Warren Township dub is Holding Talent Show Warren Township Home EconomC3 Club announced today that the dub is holding a community talent ihow called "The Revue of Future Stars" on October 22-23 in the Greencastle High School beginning ,at 8 o’clock.
