Mrs. Perdue won many friends while judging in Putnam county last year due to her pleasing personality ar.d interest in girls’ 4-H work. She has served as president of the State Home Economics Association Social and Educational Director if the E.ghth Indiana F'amr. Bureau District, and directed the State Fa r School for Girls for several years. Fhjtnam county rs indeed lucky to obtain Mrs. Perdue's services aga.n this year.

The Putnam county demonstration contest will be held next Thursday. July 18. at 1:30 p. m. in the auditorium of the Greencastle high school. This contest is open to ail 4-H club girls. Each club has been isked to send at least one demoistrator. or one demonstration team i to this contest. The winning person or team will be sent to the district emonstration contest ia Terre Haute -m July 30 Any 4-H girls may enter the county contest, but to be eligible 'or the district contest they mus* he fifteen years of age by'December 1940. The district winner will be sent to the state contest which will be held at the State Fair. Miss Mary E. Smiley, home demonstration agent in Martinsville, will serve as judge for the local
