RULES 1. The Central National Band Snapshot Contest is open to any resident of Putnam County and is strictly for amateurs. 2. All Snapshots entered must have been made since January 1, 1940. 3. To enter the contest, simply bring or send your snapshots to the Central National Bank, with your name, address and classification clearly written on the back of each picture along with a short description as to where the picture was taken. 4. Your snapshot may be made on any type film except glass plate negatives. Any make of camera chemicals or paper may be used. Developing ami printing may be done by either a photo finisher or the entrant himself. No art work or retouching is permitted on prints or the negatives from which the prints are made. No composite pictures such as multiple printing will be permitted. 5. All pictures will be judged by a committee of impartial judges not only for general interest and appeal but with particular reference to thrift, profitable employment, home ownership, agricultural improvement, etc. Photographic excellence or technique will not be the deciding factor in determining the winners. Decision of the judges will be accepted as final. 6. Entrants may submit as many snapshots as they desire, but only those which are accompanied by a self addressed stamped envelope will be returned. 7. Do not submit the negatives with your prints. Keep them until re- '*■ quested. The Central National Bank will assume no responsibility for negatives or prints, and reserve the privilege of making such use as it may desire of prints or negatives. 8. The contest closes August 5th, 1940 and all entries must be in The Central National Bank, or in the mail if postmarked not later than August 5th, 1940 to be eligible. 9. The Central National Bank will award $3.00 each to the winnc-s in each classification. A GRAND PRIZE of $5.00 will be awarded to the entrant of the picture considered by the judges to be the best of all pictures entered in the contest. FOLLOWING ARE THE CLASSIFICATION ON WHICH PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED Class A—Children and Babies: Any picture in which the principal interest is a child or children. Class B—Action pictures: Sports, Hobbies, Hunting, Fishing, Gardening, and Farming. Class C—Will cover pictures in which Animals, Birds or Pets are the principal interest. Class D —Landscapes. Water scenes, City Streets, County Scenes, Architectural or Industrial subjects. Class E- Informal Portraits of Adults: Pictures of one or more persons in natural and apparently unposed attitude, character studies, and pictures in which charm and personality of the subject are outstanding, ‘'off guard" shots.
