1 ana Power company etc. The schedule runs as follows;

Last night at the Robe Ann Park I
diamond, five softball fans hand-1
picked an All-Star softball team to | meet the winners of the Putnam Softball League, the Coca Cola's a series of games beginning
Tuesday evening.
Picked for their ability to play in any one or several positions, the team should have plenty of speed, quality, power, to match Coca Cola's power. The won the league championship on their superior playing ability, having taken all but two of
their eleven gamer
Unanimously picked for the AllStar squad was Bettis of Morton who will be unable to play due to injuries received recently. Bettis was recognized for his fine sportsmanship and
playing ability.
From Bainbridge there were two of Baker’s men that received recognition, Dickson and Spencer. Tlie Zinc Mill team is represented with two players that received im- | mediate attention, they were Firman Grimes and “Snooks” Hill. The University ten was recognized in the picking of Clair Williams, Melinki and “Curly” Williams. Putnamville drew two All-Star players in the form of Fisher and Pigg. It was Pigg that brought tne (crowd to their feet so many times this season with his wonderful rov-
ing ability.
Scoring four men on the All-Star squad, Kroger’s were out on top. Picked from this team, which incidentally finished third in the league, were Sellars, Hershberger, Lemmick and Patterson. Lone Star is represented on th3 team with one player, Cooper and the Colored Giants Forepaugh was picked for his utility value. There was also an honorable mention squad picked as some of the plaiyers who would have undoubt--ably made the All-Star squad were ineligihle due to this high school ruling that any player on an independent team after the first day of , school is not eligible to play in any sport in high school. This narrowed the field of eligible men somewhat but at the same tima it was felt that these men deserved some recognition for their superior sportsmanship this season. There were, besides those ineligible because of this ruling, several who are considred fine players but who were not picked for the All-Star team. The men picked for this squad cf Honorable Mention are: Potter and Byrd of Russellville. Robinson and J. Arnold of Fill-
more.
Clodfelter of Morton. Ousier and Etcheson of Bain-
bridge.
Miles of the Colored Giants. Coffman of the Zinc Mill. Stitcs and Krider of the Northern Indiana Power. The All-Star and Honorable Mention teams were chosen by Carl Myers, Bill Lawrence, Frank Knebel. Glen Hurst and Harold Reckley.
