Miss Mary Masten, state associate leader of 4-H activities, is here today, meeting 4-H leaders of the county in a conference to arrange the general details of the 4-H program in the county for this year. Mr. and Mrs. Rexell A Loyd, east Seminary street, are the parents of a daughter born Sunday at the Putnam county hospital. Members of the Greencastle Saddle Club have been invited to attend a box supper given by the Montgomery County Saddle Club, at Crawfordsville, Thursday evening. The women attending are expected to take a box supper for two. Dr. T. A Sigler left Monday afternoon for Baton Rouge, La., where he will appear on the program of the Eighth Annual Short Course of the Louisiana Veterinarians Association, held at the state university. Dr. Sigler will speak at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon before the association on “Cattle Practices.’’ His next topic will be “Eouine Eneehalomyelitis,’’ a brain malady among horses. He will appear on all of the programs of the
short course.

R., at Crawfordsville, and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Hostetter of Roachdale, is a candidate for the state regency of the D. A. R. organization. She is state corresponding secretary. The Greencastle chapter of D. A. R. has presented the'name of Mrs. Lafayette LeVan' Porter, of this city, for the state office. She is now state vice regent. The election will take place

The Triad Music Club met Saturday morning at music school. Piano solos were played by Jack Harlan. Sally Smith. Margaret Ann Brown and Nancy Rockhill. An interesting story of the origin of the Star Spangled Banner was given by Mary Mosley. This was followed by a discussion of American Patriotic songs led by Miss Curnutt.
