WASHINGTON. Feb. 15,—(UP'— House Democratic leaders, sought today to allay the dissatisfaction among hitherto loyal new dealers over alleged “lack of co-operation” from

the White House.

A Democratic caucus yesterday. ( | called to impress new members and ! old with the necessity of party unity, against a militant Republican opposi-' tion turned into a recital of griev- J ances against Pres: ent Roosevelt. ( Rep. Jennings Ran Jolph, D. W. Va . I i complained that President Roosevelt's! request in congress for an additional | S15C.OOC.OOC for relief this year made simultaneously with his signing of a S725.00C 000 appropriation, amounted to a “slap in the face.” Randolph refused to discuss what he had said in the secret session, but others reported that his remarks drew strong applause from the Democrats. Randolph has been one of the President's strongest supporters in

the house.

Those who attended tne caucus said Randolph contended that congress had given thoughtful consideration to Mr. Roosevelt’s original request for $875,000 000 for relief and decided, after considering all the evidence, that $723 OOC.OOO was enough. To have the President announce a “grumbling'' acceptance of the appropriation and “in the same breath” to , deman ! the amount congress had cut 1 froln his request verged on insult,
