MEXICO CITY. Jan. 27.—-UP> — Two men—a Mexican and a Jew— were jailed today as thn begetters cf anti-Semitic liots which raged in Ilia streets of the shopping district i foi houis last night. The men were Edmundo Salas, 25, a salesman of patent medicines, and Jacobo Giants, .16, a poet, literary ( liter cf the Yiddish newspaper, I ‘•The Pathway,” who is a naturalized Mexican citizen. The disorders occurred in various parts of the city between 7 and 10 p. ni. They had every appearance of being organized. Th millinery store operated by Glantz’ wife, was stoned an j its windows broken. The offices ci the Jewish Chamber of Commerce were stoned, as were a number of stcres which the mob, at one time numbering approximately 3,000 perrons, believed were operated by Jews. Tire mob screamed, “Kill Jews.” It was finally dispersed by policemen and firemen. The rioting ’ gan in front of the Glantz millinery tore. Glantz was seized by the mob, and, according to officials of the Jewish Chamber of Commerce, an effort was made to 'yach him. By this time seme 3.000
