SHIP TAKES BRIDGE TOO—Fouling of the rudder of the Maritime Commission freighter Waukegan caused the ship to crash into the du Pont highway bridge across the Chesapeake and Delaware canal, near St. Georges. Del. Ship swerved and rammed into the heavy steel structure with a loud crash, causing damage as above. Robert Quinn, bridge-tender, was killed.

The Governor* of Indinnn and Kentucky will share speaking honors at the Indiana Democratic Editorial Association banquet at the Claypool hotel, Indianapolis, Saturday night, Feb. 11. After his address. Governor Townsend will introduce Governor (Happy) Chandler, the colorful chief executive of the Blue Grass state. Tickets for the banquet are $2 each and are being sold by State Auditor Frank G. Thompson, Room 238, State House, who is chairman of the ticket committee, and at The Hoosier Sentinel, 210 Claypool hotel. Early ticket sales indicate a large attendance. The dinner will be the biggest Democratic political event of tha winter.
