John W. Hendrix is plaintiff for a quieting of title to a tract of land in Warren township, in which Alexander Connelly and a number of others are named as defendants. The suit was filed by W. T. O'Neal. Loud cries of anguish ar sing from a group of students at the intersection of Seminary street and College avenue, last night, caused residents of that locality to call out the night police. The cries came from students who were undergoing the collegiate rite of* paddling, and no one was seriously hurt, nor was anyone
arrested.
James Allee. Putnam county, who has been out of the Boys School at Plainfield on parole, was taken into custody again at Paris. 111., and returned to the school. He was taker, from Paris to Brazil by state police, and kept there until he was taken on to Plainfield by the police. The Putnam county Jail, now being dismantled, cannot be used as a place of de-
tention.
