At a crossroad near Royal Center they sighted Minneman, and waited for him in ambush. Dalhover mowed him down with a machine gun. The bank was protected by federal insurance, bringing the crime under federal jurisdiction. The gang next moved eastward, a score of G-men on their trail. They clashed with police at Baltimore, ^ Md., in one gun battle. A few weeks later the G-men surrounded them on a Bangor street and ended their careers. Dalhover pleaded guilty to Minneman’s murder and was sen-, tenced Dec. 9 by Judge Slick His execution was the eighth in a “march of death” which began at the penitentiary April W.
