Ross Alice of Cloverdale township . won a gold medal in the annual Put- ! nam county five acre com club conI test. Any farmer in the state of In- ! diana who is a member of the five i acre corn club and raises 100 bushels } or more of corn per acre is awarded | a gold medal. Mr. Alice's yield was J 102.1 bushels per acre, figuring 82 | pounds of corn per bushel. This was | an exceptionally good yield for this J season. Walter H. Page of Rachdale won a silver medal with 85.5 bushels per acre figuring 76 pounds per bushel. Otis Clodfelter of Russellville had a j yield of 77.3 bushels per acre and J Webb Evans of Greencastle R. R. 1. had a yield of 80.3 bushels an acre, both winning bronze medals. Other five acre corn club men and j their yields are: Stewart Blaydes, | 73.3; John C. Cantonwine, 59.4: John ! W. Day. 63.9; S.
