The following is a story from The Leesburg. Florida. Record and shows what Putnam County people can expect frosn the daring exhibition Saturday afternoon on the north side of the square. Thousands have seen him and thrilled at his skill and daring In doing the stunts he performs with a 1936 stock model Chevrolet sedan: Hundreds of people Tuesday afternoon were thrilled here by the “Dare Devil” driving of Colonel Ray Hensel in a 1936 stock-car Chevrolet on Meadow street below the city hall Colonel Hensel made several thrilling
turns at high speed and amply demonstrated the stamina of the Chevrolet car. Another feature capably demonstrated by Colonel Hensel was the safety with which one can handle Knee-action. In going over a heavy obstruction at high speed the Colonel took his hands off the wheel and allowed the car to right itself. In going over a ramp, Colonel Hensel attained a speed of 51 miles per hour, the Chevrolet jumping 42 feet at a heighth of about 3 feet. Colonel Hensel has even Jumped a car entirely over a truck at other cities.
Many people remarked after seeing the demonstration. “The Chevrolet will certainly stand up under gruelling road conditions after standing all that punishment.” Colonel Hensel gave a keenly appreciated lecture on safety prior to the demonstration and Mr. Heber Butler expressed the appreciation of the Butler Chevrolet Company for the interest shown by the large audience. Colonel and Mrs. Hensel are shown above with their car making the jump.

ITALY TO OPEN CABLE RAILWAY LINE TO PEAK SAN REMO, Italy (UP)—What Italians claim to be the longest suspended cable railway in the world is scheduled for inauguration here Oct. 28. The railway will carry tourists to dizzy heights overlooking the Gulf of Olives and the village of St. Romulus. It will extend for about 4 1-2 miles from San Remo to the top of Mt. Bignone. According to Italians, no existing railroad of this type now exceeds 3 miles. Three terminals are included in the run, one of which will be located at a height of nearly a mile. The cable system will be supported by 18 steel towers constructed on three mountains. In announcing imminent inauguration of the line, sponsors of the project pointed out that it represents a significant industrial victory for Italy, since construction was carried out entirely with materials and machinery fabricated in the homeland at a time when sanctions were in effect.
