SECOND OF TWINS DIES; BODIES TO BE PRESERVED MICHIGAN CITY, Ind.. July 8 lUP 1 Bodies of the Siamese twiq babies, Norabelle and Annabelle, born joined together by an appleshaped formation at the base of the skull, will be turned over to the Indiana Medical School at Indianapolis, Wesley Click. 20, the father, said today. The second of the babies died late yesterday approximately 28 hours after its twin. The bodies are to preserved at the medical school museum. Physicians earlier had hoped that an operation cutting through the skull formation might save the twin, Norabelle. The 23-year old mother refused to consent to the operation, however fearing the baby if it did survive would be subnormal. X-ray tests yesterday proved that the attempt would have been futile as the twins
INDIANAPOLIS, July 8 Harry C. F'enton, secretary of the Republican state committee, announced last night that Col. Frank Knox, Republican candidate for Vice President, will open his speaking campaign at a rally in Connersville on Aug. 8 in honor of Raymond S. Springer, the party’s nominee for Governor. Colonel Knox will receive official notification of his nomination on July 30 and Fenton said the speech at Connersville will ho the vice presidential candidate's first appearance in the campaign. Connersville is the home city of Springer and the rally there is being arranged by fellow-townsmen. Republican delegations from all districts of the state will attend the meeting.
