The Ideal Workers girls' 4-H club met Friday, June 12. Charlotte

Brown and Mary Ella Miller presented a demonstration on salads. Lillian Allbright led a short recreational period. The next meeting will be held June 26.

The Jolly Cookers gins' 4-H club of Monroe township met Wednesday, June 17. Mary E. Hendrichs, Beulah O’Hair and Marjorie Lewman, junior leaders, issued instructions and discussed projects for the year. The program consisted of a reading by Mrs. Balch, a song by Martina O'Hair and a piano solo by Marjorie Lewman. A picnic at Turkey Run state park was planned for Friday,

Softball games last night were long and raggedly played, as Rotary walloped the Fillmore Specials 24 to 10 and Laundry took a sound beating by Campbell’s Tin Shop of Orawfordsville 3 to 9. The Rotarians collected twentythree hits off of Owlser, the Fillmore pitcher, and these mixed with fourteen Fillmore errors accounted for the large score. In the last game Laundry was helpless against the slow ball offer ings of Hasbee, Crawfordaville hurler, who had the Laundry boys popping up for most of the game. Laundry made eight errors which figure greatly in the Crawfordsville scoring. Tonight at 7:30 Kiwanis plays the strong Colored Giants team and ut 8:30 Sinclair and I he Merchants play.
