Thomas Terry Case Dismissed

Three criminal charges against; Thomas C. Terry were dismissed in | circuit court Tuesday by Judge C C. 1 Gillen following an adjustment of | family difficulties which is said to have led to filing of the charges last December. Terry was scheduled to go on trial Tuesday. Two of the affidavits charged | Terry with assault and battery on Pearl Webster and her "on Noble Webster while the other charged Terrj' with drawing a deadly weapon on Amanda E. Terry Terry was arrested on the ’barges December 3 but was released undej - bond of $300 pending trial A civil suit of Amanda E. Terry againse Thomas Terry for ejection ilso was dismissed Tuesday norning by agreement, the court finding Uiat 1 the plaintiff is entitled to immediate possession of the property Involved. ^ Another action filed by Thomas Terry against Amanda E. Terry for appointment of a guardian likewise was dismissed.

Bauinunk in the Clay circuit .court yesterday sentenced Bert Cash, 31 years old, of Harmony, 'ormer undercover man in the prohibition enforcement service, to serve 10 years in the Indiana .state prison. Cash was recently found guilty by a jury of entering the home of Raymond Hirt. a farmer, holding him up with a revolver and robbing him of .i small amount of money. lolin Barnett. also of Harmony, is awaiting trial on the same charge Pete Crabb. when arraigned on the charge of breaking into an Oakley store for the purpose of committing a robbery, pleaded not guilty and will be given trial Wednesday.

OBITI’AKY Moiris A Campbell, eldest son of Luther A and Sarah Catherine Campbell was born August 29. 1882 and departed this life January 8 1935. His age was 52 years, 4 months and 9 days. On November 18. 1899 he united with the Fillmore Christian church, accepting Christ as his Savior, and having a desire to lead a clean and honest life. October 10. 1906 he was married to Pearl Hammond, and to this union were born four children: Glenn. Herschel, Olyn, and Vera Jean Soriow came to the home 12 years ago .vhen (ai February 21. 1923, Pearl was called away. In August 1926 Morris was married to Nona Kastin. and once more knew the joy and comfort of a home with wife, boys and baby girl In (aily life he had little chance lor an education for at his father's death he had to take a man's responsibilities and help mother. Walter and Jennie. From that time until the present he has been a hard working, honest, and dependable man. devoted to home, and family and friends. He was happy on the farm to which he had recently moved. A new love had come to him in the two little grandchildren, Bobby and Betty. Those who will miss him moat are mother. Walter. Jennie. Nona, and the children, with a wide circle of relatives and friends.

Jan 15 <UP' Snow scudded before wintry winds over north central states today in the wake of a cold wave and blizzard that disrupted northern motor traffic and caused at least one death by freezing Falling temperatures and thickening clouds over middle Atlantic states presaged a siege of storm in Pennsylvania. New York. Connecticut and Massachusetts. Thermometers in New York city fell almost 15 degrees overnight from yesterday’s balmy 32 degrees. Temperatures rose in the far north, where lakes froze solid and roads were blocked by huge snowdrifts in a weekend blizzard followed by arctic cold. Snowbound rural communities were warned, however, to prepare for more precipitation tonight. Williston.
