W. H. M. SocietyMet Wednesday The summer of 1932 has now passed into history. The harvests which have been lavish thanks to God’s protecting care have been gathered ami garnered, and the activities of the autumn are under way. The Woman’s Home Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal church met for its initial meeting after the summer vacation period in Keystone chapel Wednesday afternoon. There was a good attendance and judging from the happy earnest faces of those present, the Society is entering on the work of the new year with an eagerness and zest which augurs well for a successful year’s work. The devotions were led by Airs. Briggs, hhe -aid what is our religion for only to help others- The BIBLE is a book of transcendent worth, because it points the way to every need of the human heart, Guidance, Forgiveness, Afflictions, comfort and all other needs. He the loving FATHER is e\er ready to help his trusting children , 'Hie OFFICERS FORUM was most interesting and participated in by all officer present. Burning up the WHY WHERE. HOW and WHEN of the V> mail’s Home Missionary society can Ik 1 answered with one magic word SERVICE. Throughout more than 50 yeai - of the Society's exigence this word has been the talisman by which con • rated effort has lieen put forth to help this mental, mortal and spiritual uplift of our people. RESULTS | show that the.-e efforts have been and are blessed of GOD. Mis* Jeane Leach pleased all with her two piano numlx i.--. Mrs. Browning and her committee were the wel-1 coming hostesses.
