Cars driven by Paul Albin and F.rnest Frazier, both of Creencastle, were slightly damaged in an accident on the west side of the i|uare Tuesday afternoon. No one was hull in the collision. A new Chrysler sedan was badly damaged late Tuesday afternooh when it went off the Moffett Hill on the National Road, west of Mt. Meridian. Four occupants of the car suffered only slight injuries. A car driven by Mrs. Edna Randcl of Creencastle was damaged Tuesday afternoon in a collision on south Indiana street. It was said the Handel car had a bumper, axle and fender damaged while the other car, also was damaged. The name of the other driver was not learned. The scheduled trial of the case of Crant Moore against Charles Underwnod to collect an alleged unpaid note, 1 wu.- compromised out of court before | it came to trial in the Putnam Circuit court Wednesday morning. American Legion Auxiliary Vlcl Tuesday F.vening The American l-egion Auxiliary met in regular session, Tuesday evening. At this mieting the lime was set for the Fifth District to send their treat of ice-cream and cookies to the Knightstown Home. It takes forty-one gallons of ice-cream for the children to have one dish. After ether business matters were discussed the meeting adjourned.

The subject for the afternoon was “Indiana Art and Literature”. Mrs. Charles Huffman gave a very interesting and instructive paper on the subject. Roll call was responded to by eighteen members. Following the program a delightful social hour was in joyed, at which time refreshments were served. Mrs. Dunlavy had as her guests, Mrs. Connerly and Mrs. Charles Cooper.
