THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED!
An old mother had worked like a slave to help her son to get on in the world. Kept a hoarding-house. Used all her savings to set him up in business. • He started humbly but prospered, and promised his mother an easy life in her declining years. With new prosperity he married. They had no children of their own, but adopted a boy. Then he died suddenly—without a will. A tragic neglect. His mother, who had sacrificed so much for him,
received nothing. Two years later, when the wife died, the entire estate went to the adopted son. Again the aged mother was cut off without a cent.
Good intentions don’t take the place of a good will.
Have your lawyer draw one, stating your wishes, and name us your executor. In this way those you care for most will fare best.

AT THE GRAN \I)A “The King of Jazz” featuring Paul Whitman and his orchestra will be the I headline attraction at the Granada theater on Thursday and Friday nights. This picture, critics are unanimous m acclaiming as the biggest musical comedy yet produced on the talking screen. The outstanding scene, “Rhapsody in Blue” is .me of the most gorgeous and most lavish settings attiinpted by any motion picture since the advent of sound in the movie industry. Red hot rhythms, catchy songs, Hollywood beauty choruses, combined with the singing of John Holes, and the superb playing of the ; famous Whiteman band, make “The King of Jazz” the best show of its kind that h:is ever been presented in i Greencastle. There are many stupendous scenes intermingled with comic sketches by such well known comedians as Glen Tryon and “Slim Sommerville. Supporting Holes in the leading feminine r le is I.aura I.aPante, popular blonde comedienne. The "King of Jazz” should appeal to local people especially due to the fa;t that Chester Hazelett, a Greencastle hoy, is i member of Whiteman’s orche -tia. According to Manager Jimmie Bittles who screened the picture Tuesday night, there is a splendid close up of Mr. Hazelett displaying hi - ability as a musician and also his pleasing personality.
