Hr. Lichliter is a DePauw alumnus, graduating here in 1900. He delivered the Founders and llenefaetor’s Day addn ss in February, 1930, talking or 1 “’I he American Samuria.” His id dress attracted much attention. Dr l.iehiter announced his general subject for the Simpson lectures as “Clinician of the Spirit.” An extended cl’npel period starting at 10:40 will he given the speaker for the three lay s named. His lectures will he published in book form following their de-
livery here.
Dr. l.iehiter was first engaged in V. M. C. A. work before he took up •he ministry in the Methodist Episcopal church. After bidding several important pastorates, he resigned fiom the Methodist church to enter the congregational church which he now serves. Mrs. Lichliter is also a IVePauw graduate, receiving her degree in the same class with Dr. Lichliter. She was Gertrude Larirrore of Crceiiitehl. lad . before her marriage.
