< OI.ERED MEN ARRESTED AND LATER RELEASED

Two Greencastle colored men, Cappy Smith and Todd Wagner, were taken into custody Saturday night, following a melee at the colored

'side of the square. Smith spent the night in the county jail while Wagner

was released after his arrest.

Night officer George Knnuer took both men into custody after the altercation. It was said the argument started over the payment of a dollai It seems Smith wa.- a member of the

lodge while Wagner was not.

Smith exhibited a bruised hend and claimed other injuries alleged to have been inflicted by Wagner. No charges were preferred by either .of the two

men and they were released.

C. C. Club Members Entertain Families

The memliers of the C. C. Club entertained their families with a picnic supper Wednesday, November 12, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Baird. All enjoyed the bountiful supper which was spread in the dining room, after which the evening was spent in playing cards and other games. BLOOMINGTON, Ind., Nov. 24— What is said to be the largest still ever seized in Monroe county was confiscated by Sheriff R. H.
