I Funeral services were held foi Charles Ison Wright of Fern, at the McCurry funeral home, Monday morn1, ing at 10 o'clock. Rev. Sum Dean of Indianapolis, uncle of the deceased was in charge. The pall hearers wa-ri William Helton, Ross Furney, Janie; Chrisenberry, Mat Ferney, Dove Cox and Janie- Plumber. Interment was in
almost every city in Argentina. Pledges of loyalty poured in upon the military leadci who took possesion of the capital with a promise to “save the institution and the dignity of a nation.” Today was proclaimed a holiday to honor the swearing in of the new provisional government, a civil cabinet headed by General Criburu. From every province of the republic l ame word of the revolution’s suc-ce.-s and widespread rejoicing. No fuither armed oppo-ition is expected, but the government is temporarily prepared to combat it should any
arise.
Although Irigoyen was guarded heavily at Igrplata, he was not a prisoner of the new regime. He received a pledge honoring his liberty before he signed his resignation. Feeble and broken ,the octog n i ian head "f the radical party is confined to bed with grippe. The rumor that he had offered a paralytic stroke was denied by officials. His condil >u doe not appear grave. The brief cla-hes between police and the revolutioni-l Saturday took about 50 lives and w unded 100, offict i aid today. Marital I iw rules the c ity, but it is mainly to prevent looting. A few small encounters similar to those in the capital were reported yesterday from the provinces. The provincial governors, who reigned at the request of the military junta, will be replaced by army commands. Civilians will be appointed to succeed them later. Demonstrators of loyalty to the new government were made in mo.-' of the provincial capitals. The new government went to work immediately on the problem of getting the country back to normal.

“A Notoriou Affair”, Billie Dove' new picture now showing at the Voncastle Theatre tonight and Tuesday adds still another type of role to the varied ones Mi Dove has brought to the screen in the last two years. In “The Other Tomorrow,” Billie, you will recall, played the role of a Diixe belle. In ‘ The Painted Angel” she sang and danced as a Broadway night-club owner. Previously, she appeared in stork's with foreign locales. “A Notoriou- Affair” is her first role as a l.ady of England. It tells the story of a talented but poor genius of the violin who wins the daughter of an English nobleman. Later, when his music has brought him fame—and feminine admirer , he deserts his wife. However, her pride prompts her to fight her rivals for his possession, which she roes with an effort that only true love could*inspiri Kay Francis, liasir Rathbone, tymtagu Love and Kenneth Thompson arc others of the ca.-t who do outstanding work. Miss Francis is the “other woman,” Basil Rathbone is the violin genius, Montagu Love plays Billie's father. Baptists Surprise Pastor and Wife Rev. and Mrs. William J. Crowder found after the Sunday morning service that an invitnti n which they had received several day previously to have dinner with the Superintendent of the Baptist Sunday school was a fake. The pastor and wife were preparing to go home with the superint ndent, when he had decided that they had hotter dine in the basement of the church with the congregation. Just thci k members coming in with well-filled baskets told the tale. Hie surpri ed pc. tor and wife walked down into the basement upon a scene of bustle and activity and soon a large number of the Baptist congregation were seated to partake of a bountiful and tempting spread. A period of good fellowship followed, during which time brief addresses were made by Rev. and Mrs. Crowder and various leaders and officer- of the church. It was a fitting way to begin the fall work, the pastor having ju-t returned from his vacation. A good time was enjoyed by all, and the thoughtfulness of the congregation was much appreciated by Rev. and Mrs. Crowder. 4* 4- 4- 4* 4- + Prof, and Mrs. Yount Entertained Teachers Prof, and Mrs. Warren J.
