.VI VONCASTLE
To those who think that the heyday of the circus has passed, Pathe’s new musical circus romance “Swing High" 22.35 ' will particularly ap|a*al. (3 r this spec28.67 tacular talk I/- deal with life under

In those days the eircu- had no machinery to put up and take down its tents, no mechanical contrivances for loading it paraphernalia on railway flat cars, no tractors to pull the heav\ loads to and from shipping points. Inste ad, it.- Rig Top was erected and torn down bv hardy, singing roustabouts who plied their sledge
own wagon train, bad weather often meaning mired wagons and a delay in the p rformance in the next town M ten it v ; n .-. --.ry to handle usually heavy loads, elephants were em-
ployed.
The glamor and romance of the ircus at it> picturesque best is contained in "Swing High" which will he een at the Vnncastle theatre Sunday and Monday. A complete circus troupe was engaged for its filming, with all the clowns, acrobats, bare back riders trapeze performers, wild animals, spangles and glitter that go to mak r up “the greatest show on earth’’ piny ing a par. The imposing cast includes Chestei Conklin, Ben Turpin, Dorothy Burg i ss, Bryant Washburn, George Fawcett, Helen Twelvetrees, Stepin Fitch it. Daphne Lollard, Robert Hdeson 1- red Scott. John Sheehan, Micke? Bennett and Fred l.angan. Today only—Bob Steele will be seer i.t hi first all-talking Western Pie t in- “Near The Rainbow’s End.
