Sherrill will have charge of the services. Betty Handy, small daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Handy, Northwood, underwent an operation for appendicitis at the county hospital on Thursday night. Dr. Noble, Indianapolis specialist, was the surgeon. Miss Florene Croy, cashier at the Oakley store on east Washington treet, sustained a painful injury Friday noon, when she cut a finger on the right hand while opening a can. Dr. C. T. Zaring rendered medical attention. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Marks and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ragsdale of Greencastle are on a motor trip to Detroit, Mich., where they will visit Mr. and Mrs. Ray Michaels. Mrs. Marks and Mrs. Ragsdale are sisters of Mr. Michaels. The DePauw University freshmen I week Bulletin is now off the press and will he mailed to high school graduates that have signified their j intentions 'of enrolling in DePauw ; September 12. Dean W. M. Blanchard has the booklet which forme a comprehensive survey of the university wiitten from the standpoint of freshmen questions.

The marriage ceremony was read by the Rev. H. McCracken, a Presbyterian minister near Pittsburgh, Pa., and in the presence of a few of the immevliate relatives and friends of the young couple.
