Team Dinner Hursts The members of the Clinton Center basketball team were entertained Saturday evening at dinner at the Motor Inn, north of the city by Lawrence Wright and Sanford Romine. The evening was spent in playing cards, and in listening to good music. Those present were: Gardner Eggrrs, Ernest Flint, Marion Bratton. Hubert Clodfelter, Donald Hart, Emory Thompson, George Ross Frank, James Brothers, Lawrence Wright and Sanford Romine.
The Boston Club will meet Tuesevening at half after seven o’■lock with Mrs. L. H. Dirks, east Washington Street. The program will be given by Miss Lovett and Mrs.
Bartlett.

John Murnane, who underwent an operation at the County Hospital about two weeks ago was removed to his home at 709 South Locust St., Sunday. Mr. Murnane who is general superintendent at the Mid-West Stone Quarry, is recovering nicely. Robert Martin who was sentenced to serve JO clays in the county jail for beating a board bill, was released Monday when he paid $8 and was expected to make airangements to pay the balance. He was tried in Robert

The fire department was called out Monday morning when smoke was seen coming from the kitchen of the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Green. Anderson street. The firemen found that there was no fire but that the smoke was caused by a coal oil -tnve which had been left burning with the
