The anesthetic has already been used successfully on more than 200 patients and was said to work rapidly smoothly and without the distressing after effects of present anesthetics. Chemically the new anesthetic which is a derivative of Barbituric acid is

The chief advantage of the new anesthetic according to Dr. Zerfas is the elimination of the period of nausea aihl shock which follows the use of present drugs. The little shop and the $G8 capital which represented th*- first Studebaker venture has grown into ine of the largest manufacturing corporation- in America, backed by actual net assets of more than $105,000,000 and employing 21,000 people. Dealers in every country in the world sell the products of great modern factories in South Bend, Detroit, and Walkerville,

Ontario.

Studebaker’s automotive experience dates back to 1899. The Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Company was then one of the largest vehicle builders in the world. The first experiments were with electrics. In 1904 the superority of the gasoline engine led to the manufacture of the first Studebaker automobile,—a 10 h. p. machine with the motor under the

The little 16 h. p. machine was the forerunner of four great lines of automobiles which Studebaker manufactures today. In the past two year* these cars have won every official speed and endurance record for fully

IN MEMORY —o— In Memory of our mother Mrs. Jane Thomas who departed this life Feb. 16, 1928. You have left us, darling mother You have passed from earth away, You are on our Father s bosom, In the realm- of endless day. Yes we know you are in heaven, But the tears unhidden start, For we’ve lost our earthly treasure Cherrished idol of the heart They were waiting by the river, Angles robed in spotless white, And they gently bore her over To that shore where all is light T’was hut one year ago she left us, For that happy land above, By the white throne she is waiting For the promises of love, One more Angel i- in heaven, With a harp of purest gold Singing praises to the Savior With a joy, earth never told, I Shall wc meet y<>u, darling mother . : We will ask our God in prayer, With his helping hand to aid us, i We will meet our mother there. Sadly missed by husband and children.

ball and team work was perfect. And maybe you don’t think the locals looked nifty in their new suits. The new uniforms consist of white jerseys, white silk pants with a purple stripe and the new sweat suits are also o. k. Greencastle was “on" and that is what it takes. A team has to he able to hit the basket to win games.

■ ■ 0—

The flashy Junior Cubs also gave the Sullivan Seconds a few lessons in the hardwood court sport during the curtain raiser. Eugene Crawley, who has been having tough luck on his basket shooting all season, certainly made up for it last night. The Tiger Cub floor guard was hitting the net with regularity and played a whale of a defensive

game. —o

Brown was getting the tip at renter over half the time and this was a big help to Bailsman’s proteges.

—o—

Stone and Masten put up splendid exhibitions at the forward berths. Gross delivered in fine shape at hack guard on defense and started many offensive drives down the floor.

—o—

GREENSBURG TONIGHT!

—o—

The overwhelming victory over the strong Sullivan outfit should give the Cubs confidence in their elash with the fast going Greenshurg aggregation on the loeal floor this evening.

—o—

The visitors, known as the Pirates, have a real team hut we believe the Greencastle hoys have found their stride and will he hard to stop.

—o—

Frank Pruitt, coach of the Greenshurg squad, is well known here as he coached winning teams up at Bainbridge for several seasons.

—o—

The Pirates nosed nut Greencastle, 15 to 41 in a double overtime engagement on November 28. They will come here this afternoon for the purpose of repeating but the Cubs are just as equally determined to even up the standing of games for the season. so there you are or what have

you ?

GRIND GREENSBURG!

—O— —

The Sullivan scorer told Joe Crosby, who was keeping score for Greencastle at the officials’ table that the Cubs had the “smoothest running team that had appeared on the Miners’ floor this winter.”

—o—

Coach Bausman told us yesterday morning that his hoys were going to bent Sullivan. His hunch certainly turneil out to he correct.
